What is now considered to be one of the best known Mashawi (Grills) Restaurants in Amman has a history that pre-exists therestaurant itself.
How It All Started
When Mohammad Agha the founder of Greater Amman restaurant was living in Kuwait, he started working at a restaurant back in 1965. Slowly but surely he started learning everything to know about the Mashawi business.Three years later Mohammad bought the restaurant he was working at.
The Journey Continues
And on the very same standards, he followed back then, Greater Amman Restaurants still follows the same path. Serving delicious and appetizing Mashawi sourced by the freshest local meat in town and mouthwatering maza to their customers.

Greater Amman restaurants aim to offer a variety of the most popular Meza and Mashawi dishes in a modern and unique style and to help spread our taste of the ancient kitchen and deliver it all over the world. The number one goal is to serve every customer with appetizing dishes to have returning customers.
About Us
Greater Amman Restaurant opened in Amman – Jordan back in 1987. Our dedication to the best quality service, accompanied by hard work, the once small owned family business became a huge success year after another. Now operating in three different locations in Jordan and looking for opportunities to franchise.
With the growing appetite for the best Mashawi in town, Greater Amman Restaurant branched out to open a restaurant in 2005 and another in 2020. Culminating the continued success.
Greater Amman Restaurant prides itself on only using fresh Baladi Lamb meat - which is known for being the best quality and having a distinctive taste - sourced only locally. Halal slaughtered to serve customers with goodness.
